All-in-one ADS-B Solution
The GTX 345DR provides a seamless transition to NextGen airspace by combining a Mode S Extended Squitter (ES) transponder with dual-link ADS-B “In” capabilities. This one-box solution enables 1090 MHz ADS-B “Out” for global operation at any altitude while providing access to subscription-free weather and advanced traffic surveillance on compatible cockpit displays or mobile devices.
Advanced Traffic and Weather Benefits
Unlock a comprehensive situational picture with subscription-free ADS-B weather services including NEXRAD imagery, METARs, and TAFs. The dual-link receiver captures both 978 MHz and 1090 MHz frequencies, offering a complete traffic view enhanced by Garmin’s patented TargetTrend relative motion display and TerminalTraffic technology for monitoring aircraft and ground vehicles in the airport environment.
Flexible Integration and WAAS Options
Designed to fit the common 1.65-inch tall form factor, the GTX 345DR can interface with your existing WAAS/SBAS-compliant navigation system or utilize an optional built-in GPS position source. It is compatible with a wide range of avionics including GTN series navigators, G1000 integrated flight decks, and various portable devices via Connext wireless streaming.
Enhanced Pilot Tools and Connectivity
The unit features a sunlight-readable digital display with dedicated pushbuttons for quick squawk code entry, approach timers, and pressure altitude readouts. Built-in Connext technology allows for wireless streaming of weather, traffic, GPS position, and backup attitude data to compatible apps like Garmin Pilot, ForeFlight, and FltPlan Go.
Simplified Installation and Maintenance
For added safety and reduced long-term costs, the GTX 345DR supports an optional altitude encoder that mounts separately on the install rack. This design allows the transponder to be removed without disconnecting static lines, eliminating the need for follow-on leak checks and minimizing downtime during service.
