The Inside Track to ADS-B “Out”
The IFR-certified GTX 335 offers a straightforward transition to NextGen airspace by fitting into a standard 1.65-inch high avionics slot while providing Mode S Extended Squitter (ES) capabilities. This solid-state design ensures lower power consumption and enhanced reliability while automatically broadcasting accurate aircraft ID, position, altitude, and velocity data to ATC.
Enhanced Traffic Surveillance
Utilizing 1090 MHz transmission, the GTX 335 provides ground controllers with faster updates than traditional radar and enables ADS-B “In” equipped pilots to see a similar traffic picture. For specialized requirements, a diversity configuration is available using top and bottom-mounted antennas to provide superior operational coverage.
Leverage Your Existing Avionics
Designed to interface with a wide range of cockpit equipment, the GTX 335 minimizes cost and downtime by serving as a size-conforming replacement for many existing Mode S or Mode C transponders. Remote mount versions are also available for integration with GTN 750/650 series and select G1000 integrated flight decks.
Simplified Altitude Encoding
The unit can be paired with an optional Garmin altitude encoder that mounts directly to the installation rack. This unique design allows the transponder to be removed without disconnecting static lines, eliminating the need for follow-on leak checks and reducing ongoing service costs.
Integrated WAAS/GPS Option
For aircraft without a compliant position source, the GTX 335 is available with a built-in WAAS GPS receiver. This all-in-one package provides everything needed to meet ADS-B “Out” compliance standards in a single box installation, though this option is not available for diversity configurations.
