DME Radio for General Aviation
The GDM 450R is a digital remote-mount DME radio designed for Part 23 general aviation aircraft. It provides slant-range distance calculations relative to DME ground stations with direct ARINC 429 integration to Garmin displays — no adapter required.
Automatic Tuning
Automatically tunes DME channels based on the selected NAV radio frequency. Multichannel operation supports up to 2 separate DME frequencies. Optional free scan capability searches for DME stations within range.
DME-DME Navigation
DME-DME RNAV support enables aircraft positioning using distances from multiple ground stations, offering an alternative navigation source independent of GPS. DME hold maintains distance indication when retuning the associated NAV radio.
