Velcro adjustable overhead strap keeps the headset stable from slipping of the head. Headset can be used with construction and public safety hard hats where hand held radios are in use but is mostly recognized on the heads of pit crews in motor sports racing. Pit Crews who have adopted this style of behind-the-head headsets belong to NASCAR®, ARCA®, CART® and SCCA® because of its superior noise cancellation. Headset comes normally with a noise canceling electret microphone but can be fitted with a less sensitive M101 or M87 dynamic microphone.
